UTMB Library Journal Database Access

In association with the UTMB Community Faculty Development Coordinating Committee and the Area Health Education Center (AHEC), the Office of Regional Medical Education wants to provide educational technology resources to our community physicians.

Your access to online literature search and journal programs would hopefully serve to assist you in discussing current evidentiary data available to your students in their application of knowledge to the clinical experience, as well as to provide practical information to patients.

This link is an "information resources security acknowledgement and nondisclosure agreement" form which will initiate the process for gaining access to online medical information resources available through the UTMB Moody Medical Library intranet.

If you are interested in receiving this "domain access", please print, complete the form and fax it to the ORME office (409-772-6565). We will then forward you access directions. We will also provide information about a variety of library training courses in areas such as:

  • Navigating and Searching the World Wide Web Effectively
  • The use of OVID MEDLINE
  • Cited Reference Searching and the Web of Science
  • Electronic Journals: Tips and Tricks
  • Please note that the following is needed to acquire UTMB domain access:

  • Windows XP
  • High-speed internet access (e.g. DSL, cable modem)
  • Detailed information regarding resources available on the UTMB Moody Medical Library website can be reviewed at: http://library.utmb.edu.
