Mission Statement

The mission of the Community-Based Education Committee (CBEC) is to coordinate and support UTMB community faculty contributions in medical education. The committee’s activities include promotion of positive communications and interactions with community faculty and the School of Medicine; development of community faculty teaching skills; effective preceptor follow-up and evaluation; and research on related topics.
